The meeting

(23 – 25 September 2024)

The 5th SerpentineDays 2024 will be held as a 3-days international meeting from 23 – 25 September 2024 at the “Carmen de la Victoria”, a meeting venue surrounded by lush gardens right in the historic center of Granada, Spain.

Field trip 1

(21 – 22 September 2024)

We will discuss low-temperature serpentinization and related processes during a visit of the hyperalkaline springs in the Ronda peridotite massif.

Field trip 2

(26 – 27 September 2024)

We will visit the Almirez massif (Sierra Nevada, Spain), the world’s unique exposure of the high-pressure serpentine dehydration front to prograde harzburgite. The perfect place to learn and discuss about the role of serpentinites in subduction zones.
